Heather M. Hernandez

Heather M. Hernandez has an Associate of Science Degree from Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell. She is a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery. Additionally, she is an AWONN certified instructor. Heather became a member of the Texas Association Teachers of Dance in 2005 and is certified in the discipline of Tap. In 1992, she received a TATD Tap scholarship award for outstanding performance.

Heather is Assistant Director of The Studio+. She teaches Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and Acrobatics from beginning to advanced levels. She has 15 years of extensive dance training and has taught dance for over 17 years. Heather studied all disciplines with the Alcorn Academy of Dance, the University of Texas-Arlington, and at TATD. In addition, she is employed with Eastern New Mexico Medical Center and the Center for Ambulatory Surgery of Southeastern New Mexico.

Heather is married to Phil Hernandez and they have three young sons; Kayden, Chandler, and Alec, ages 7, 5 and 1, respectively. Heather is a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church where she served as a member of the Vestry and led Children’s Chapel and Teen Youth Group.
